Control panel fault symptoms
Control panel faults may show as alarms, inverter error codes, duty pump failure, standby pump not starting, pumps not alternating, pump not stopping, low pressure alarms or high frequency trips.
Common causes
Possible causes include pressure sensor faults, inverter/VFD faults, contactor or overload faults, float signal faults, loose terminals, failed controls, incorrect settings or pump motor issues.
Safe checks
Photograph the panel display and any fault code. Do not open the panel unless competent. Note whether the fault resets, returns immediately, or appears only when water demand starts.
Repair approach
Diagnosis may involve checking sensors, control logic, pump outputs, inverter status, motor condition and whether the fault is electrical, mechanical or system-related.
